A 1 hour 45 minutes walking tour through Colchester’s historic city centre seeing places and hearing stories that cover 2000 years of history!

Join me for a guided walk through the history of Colchester, Britain's oldest and newest city. I will tell you stories that include tales of Celts, Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Normans, the Wool trade, the Civil War, the Georgians, the Victorians, the last century and right up to the present. We will see the places where they lived, were entertained, fought and worshiped over the last 2000 years. The tour includes special access to Colchester's Roman Theatre*.

A 1 hour 45 minutes specialist walking tour to see the buildings, structures and places that formed part of Britain’s first city and capital , many hidden in plain sight, and to hear their remarkable stories. The tour includes special access to Colchester's Roman Theatre*.

Colchester Churches
A 1 hour 45 minutes specialist walking tour of the many historic churches in the city centre and learn of their history and some famous people associated with them.
 

How to read a house
A 1 hour 45 minutes specialist tour to discover how much you can lean from a house just by looking at it.

All tours are £8 per person**. Contactless payment or cash is accepted.
